The cliché goes that the biggest sexual organ is between the ears. But degradation and humiliation are all between the ears. Exploring mental and emotional sadomasochism is attended by a set of pitfalls different than those of impact or rope, but which still pose the risk in serious harm. We will discuss the distinction between humiliation and degradation, some ideas for navigating the pitfalls and triggers of mental and emotional play, and maybe exchange some thoughts on how to go about playing in these deep waters.
